Chateau Lil

Woodinville, Washington

Chateau Lil is located in Woodinville, Washington, also known as Woodinville Wine Country. Home to the world famous Chateau Saint Michelle winery and vineyards, Woodinville is known for it’s booming wine and beer industry. With around 900 wineries in the state of Washington, Woodinville is home to 130 of them, as well as breweries and distilleries.

It also host the Mcmemamins concept: a collection of breweries, pubs, restaurants, movie theaters and hotels around the PNW, all in redesigned but uncompromised, historic and abandoned community buildings. The concept took the PNW by storm when communities realized that their abandoned and/or historical churches, school buildings and community centers didn’t have to be bulldozed for something new, but could be repurposed into something fresh and new for the community to enjoy.

Woodinville is the mecca for the wine and beer world in the PNW, there’s no doubt about that. The landscape is stunning, and it is filled with residents who have lived there for generations, and remember their town as all farmland, and natural beauty. I love this town because that energy is what gives Woodinville the “home away from home” vibe. For it being one of the most touristy towns in Washington, it rarely feels cliche, or overcrowded. Woodinville is the perfect location for all the wine and beer lovers, who dream of a Chateau or winery wedding. And Chateau Lil is the hidden gem among them all.

Fun fact about Washingiotn beer: Yakima valley, on the west side of Washington state, is the biggest known hops growing in the WORLD. Bigger than Colorado, Germany, and Belgium. Cool huh?

Chateau Lil sits right on the main road when heading into Woodinville for a day or wine and beer tasting. However, one of it’s great features is that while it is easy to find from the main road, it is still private, beautiful and totally peaceful. The Chateau Lil venue is a vintage inspired, Italian-style chalet, with a Carriage house tasting room down the road.

The wine is delectable and the service superb, with knowledgeable wine staff and passionate owners. I love this venue because it is such an awesome and specific style choice and it is done perfectly. Not to mention how passionate the owners are. When some one is that passionate about what they do, it’s bound to be contagious.

The Chateau sits a top a gorgeous hill with acreage in the back. It is the most perfect, vintage, Italian style. Tall, with concrete walls painted a soft tan, vines growing up a trellis and wine barrels stacked amongst the property.

Their property has endless ceremony and reception options all offering peaceful sanctuary for you and your guests. They offer anything from private ceremonies in the gazebo to a wedding celebration of 300 people!

Do your first look on the dock, looking out over the fields and the water for ultimate privacy.

Take your portraits in front of the white barn, and see if you can scope out an Alpaca in the neighboring field. And then try your ceremony out under the tree in the back of the property, when the sun is going down, it catches the perfect, golden glow.
