Port Angeles Backyard Elopement

Oh boy, are you in for a treat with this one!!

The Port Angeles Elopement

Kristin and Alex decided on a very small, quiet, and intimate wedding with just a few of their closest friends and of course their fur baby, Enzo… and Wow… It was definitely one for the books. They got ready in this gorgeous Airbnb on a misty Washington day. Their Port Angeles elopement day was filled with those closest to them, warmth and their sweet doggie.

It was finally the very popular, and very short-lived wildflower season in Washington. So they ventured out to a wildflower field for their first look. After the sweetest first look (booty grab and all), they tied the knot on the property of an insanely cute Airbnb in Port Angeles Washington, where the fields of wildflowers and classic PNW landscape provided the perfect backdrop.

Port Angeles is a small coastal town that borders the Olympic National Park. It’s the perfect place to grab an Airbnb for a visit to Hurricane Ridge, the hot springs, or even to venture out to the rainforest or epic La Push beaches. Olympic National Park is the perfect place to visit and experience all the best things Washington has to offer. And a Port Angeles elopement is a great way to embrace the natural beauty of the state.

Following their ceremony, the four of us drove up to Hurricane Ridge with our fingers crossed, in hopes of utilizing some epic mountainous views for their portraits. Not much to our surprise, we ran into some insane amounts of fog about halfway up. Hurricane Ridge can be a huge elusive mystery to many because of how hard it can be to get up there with good views. But that doesn’t mean that mountain views are all it has to offer. And this couple wasn’t going to let a little fog get them down on there perfect Port Angeles elopement day?

So, instead of turning around, we continued to the top, and we have to say… The fog was AWESOME!! We loved the drama that it provided! Also… Shout out to Kristin and Alex for being major troopers! It was so cold!!

After our photos, we returned back to celebrate with the tight-knit group of amazing people this couple decided to share their day with. They cut their cake, and shared in drinks and laughs with everyone that gathered to be with them. This couple was all laughs, and infectious smiles all day long.

When I asked Kristin and Alex to share some advice to brides planning their elopement in Washington this is what they said:

“Take full advantage of the gorgeous landscape Washington has to offer. When planning our Port Angeles elopement, we were overwhelmed with options all over the state. We live in the most beautiful state in the whole country, in our opinion, and even if you aren’t an outdoorsy person, or you aren’t from here, get outside for your big day. Between rolling hills, towering mountains, moody beaches, wildflower fields and so much more. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, from your vendors, family members, friends, even if you’re not inviting them, your loved ones want to help.”

Kristin & Alex… Thank you so so much for including us in your special day! We couldn’t be happier for the two of you! ?

This location is also one of our favorite places to elope. It’s no wonder we included it in our best places to elope in Washington State writeup.
