This Olympic National Park elopement in Washington State will take your breath away!
Olympic National Park
Olympic National Park is a gorgeous national park with so many amazing qualities! Like, did you know that the Hoh Rainforest is the Northern-most rainforest in the world. It is also the only rainforest in the continental United States. It is the sixth most popular park in the United States, seeing over 30 million visitors a year. It’s bigger than the entire state of Rhode Island, over 800,000 acres. However, it only has 611 miles of hiking trails, to keep the wildlife protected. It has 73 miles of coastline, 3,000 miles of rivers and streams, and is one of the most diverse parks in the country, boasting mountain, rainforest and coastline scenery. Something for everyone
Olympic National Park is one of our all time favorite places to elope in Washington State. Hundreds of thousands of wilderness spans the western coast of the state. The park offers mountain scapes, rocky, tumultuous beaches, ancient rainforests, and more. This is one of the most mysterious and heart stopping parks in Washington. Hurricane Ridge sits at the North west corner, by the town of Port Angeles. A perfect spot for an Olympic National Park elopement with its overwhelming mountain views, and the town’s close proximity with plenty of lodging.
An Olympic National Park Elopement
The morning of Emily and Zach’s Olympic National Park elopement was beautiful. Morning dew hung from the trees. The damp dawn turned into a quiet, warm sunrise, drying up the earth and promising so much beauty. They started out their day getting ready in their cabin, sipping beer and soaking up the energy of the day. They read tearful letters to each other, and prepared for an emotional first look.
Their first look was under the blanket of beauty afternoon sun rays. They laughed, they cried, they hugged and kissed. All the emotions of their wedding day came hurdling at them. They were so excited!
Their ceremony took place up on Hurricane Ridge. A few of their closest family and friends joined them in their intimate elopement, and shared in their vows. It was a beautiful ceremony with so many tears. We took photos into the sunset, running around Hurricane Ridge, chasing the light for as long as it would let us. It truly was a magical Olympic National Park elopement.
