We are so excited to talk about Islandwood! This venue is Rustic, chic, trendy and adventurous all wrapped up in one! Read on to discover our favorite things about this venue and visit our post, Best Seattle Wedding Venues, to see it featured there!

Bainbridge Island, Washington

Let me just start by saying, Bainbridge Island is PNW island lovers’ dream come true. Quaint shops, small farm to table restaurants, wineries, mansions by the water, beaches to bask on during the summer, and adventurous activities for all interest levels. Bainbridge Island is the perfect place to bring your friends and family for a gorgeous PNW wedding. Right on the Puget Sound, Bainbridge Island is a quick hop on the ferry from Seattle, and it’s packed full of fun!

Visit the Bainbridge Gardens or the Bainbridge Museum of Art for some culture. Or stop off at one of the shops on Winslow Way or Madison Avenue, like the Eagle Harbor Book Company, or the Shirvan Rug Company, to name some of our favorites. Or if the weather permits, plan a trip out to the farmers market for some fresh produce and handmade treasures! Wineries and distilleries are a plenty on Bainbridge Island, between the expansive Bainbridge Vineyards, and the delicious Eagle Harbor wine company, the wine flows beautifully on the Island.

The Island life is waiting for you and your guests on Bainbridge Island, and the crowning jewel is Islandwood!

Islandwood

Islandwood is a 255-acre environmental education and event center. While it is a beautiful wedding venue, it is also a day camp, summer camp, graduate program, and so much more, all geared toward environmental education, awareness, and changing the world. So while you have your wedding at this gorgeous wedding, you can feel good about being a part of making the world a better place.

Now on to the important stuff, the Islandwood venue! It is GORGEOUS! Meadows, gardens, miles of forested trails, two treehouses, and a suspension bridge, Islandwood is every couple’s PNW wedding photography dream. You are so immersed in peaceful nature at this venue, you don’t have time or energy to be stressed. The venue only hosts one wedding per weekend, so that they can put in maximum time and energy into giving you everything you need, giving you peace of mind. There are lodges for all your guests to stay in, combining the natural beauty of the venue with a nice rustic touch, giving you that “cabin in the woods” vibe.

Get married outside in the meadow on a beautiful day, then have your reception in the dining hall: a beautiful lodge with high ceilings and exposed beams that will make you feel like you are dining at Hogwarts! Or, for more intimate weddings and to feel closer to all your guests, the private dining room is the perfect place for you and your 20 or so guests to get cozy around a dinner table and swap stories. It sports wood beams and a warm fireplace for a romantic touch, and wall to wall windows for you to look out at your beautiful surroundings.

To inquire for your own wedding, check out the Islandwood website to inquire. If you aren’t planning a wedding, I’d still give them a call. Go see the amazing grounds and all it has to offer. They even have a beautiful treehouse on the property built by the Treehouse man, Pete Nelson. How sweet is that?
