First off, WILD CAMPING IS AMAZING! In Scotland, the land is yours to use (as long as you follow the “leave no trace” guidelines). During this 8 days in Scotland we decided to 100% wing it. We had no places to stay, no plans, nothing. All we had was our tent, and a sense of adventure. After landing in Edinburgh we headed straight for Isle Of Skye where we knew we were going to spend most of our time. The first night we drove until we were tired. Having no clue where we were, we pulled over and found a nice spot for our tent. Little did we know, we were nestled in snow capped mountains and were quite surprised when the sun started to rise and we saw where we were. There are SO many gorgeous spots up in Isle of Skye. We were able to see Old Man Of Storr (which we ended up setting up camp at), hiked to a really rad Bothy and met some amazing new friends, saw waterfalls, saw mountains, and camped in a really creepy forest.
If we wrote details about each part of this trip, it would be a short novel. For anyone considering traveling to Isle of Skye or Scotland, please reach out to us. We are an open book and would love to share all the details of our trip. Extra bonus, if you are local… we can grab a drink and talk travel stories :).
Enjoy all the photos and like always, if you have questions, you can always ask in the comments and we will answer them.
