Ever been to The Hoh Rainforest? No? GO!! Oh, you have? Isn’t it amazing?! The Hoh is located on the Olympic Peninsula in western Washington, and it is simply stunning.
Last year Katie and Matt decided to go on a camping trip in the rainforest. They had just recently moved to Washington, and were looking for a bit of adventure. They stocked up on camping gear (twinkle lights and all), and headed into the forest ready to make new memories. It was quite cold… Snow covered the ground… But that only added to this special evening. It was on this night that Matt asked Katie to marry him. YAY! 🙂
They decided to revisit the rainforest for their engagement photos, and we are SO glad that we were able to be a part of it!! We met Katie and Matt at a bar in Forks for a quick beer and to chat for a bit, and then headed off to the Hoh to take their photos. We started the session in the forest surrounded by towering trees, ferns, and tons of green moss. Oh, and did we mention it rained all day?? I mean, it IS a rainforest after all. 😉 From there, we headed out of the trees to take photos along the Hoh River. SO pretty! We finished the session by heading back to the exact campsite where they got engaged… started a small fire… and made s’mores!
Katie and Matt… You guys were so much fun to hang out with for the day. We can’t thank you enough for bringing us along on such a special and beautiful adventure. Here’s to you guys!!
